Ugh, there goes my weekend. Fallout: New Vegas (the follow-on to Fallout 3) has been released. And if it's anywhere near as good as FO3 was - I'm going to spend lots and lots of time playing it, and then lots and lots more time creating mods for it.

For some reason I was thinking it wasn't coming out until mid-November 2010.



I'll have to see which of my (3) mods need to be ported:

Randomized Skillbooks
Deadlier Explosive Traps (video)
Random Extra Traps

And a bit of initial gameplay video. Fallout New Vegas was built using the same tools that were used for Fallout 3, so it's going to look almost identical in a lot of places. You'll encounter similar interior layouts, decor, models, etc. There's only a few things that don't feel like they belong (like the firehose box in the Goodsprings General Store), but Obsidian did a good job otherwise.
